Script
The opening two minutes do not contain any dialogue, therefore I do not need a script. The reason why I chose not to include dialogue is because the majority of the shots feature Murphy by himself, therefore meaning he has no one to talk to. Even when the package is exchanged, I thought it was key to keep it short and swift, as the characters would want to make the deal as quick as possible to avoid drawing attention to themselves. If they stopped to have a conversation, it would make it clear they are linked to each other, and because of Murphy's role as a police detective, it is imperative for him to keep his profile low, so no one knows he associates with the gang.
Not including dialogue also puts the pressure off my actors. As they are not trained and have little experience of being filmed, I felt the more simplistic I kept it, the better it would be, as it may look unprofessional trying to get ameuturs to represent something done by professionals.
