Shooting Schedule Day 1
Throughout the duration of filming the opening sequence, I kept a record of what I had done, any problems I had faced, parts that went well and the quality of my shots. My first day of filming was on Sunday the 9th April, and I noted all the failures and successes that came from the day of filming:

On the first day of filming, my actors and I had arranged to meet at 1pm outside the Forum Library (the first location to appear in the opening). The overall aim was to get some initial shots based around my storyboard, with the hope that being in the location with the actors may bring some additional inspiration.
I experimented with different camera angles and shot types, ensuring I got plenty of useable footage by refilming certain shots up to six different times. Despite the fact I was using a steadicam for all my shots, I thought to be on the safe side, I would film as much as possible in case the camera work was poor, and I'd have more footage to choose from.
My cautiousness paid off however, as once I got home, I found that almost all of my shots were usable, with the use of equipment helping me keep the camera work as smooth as possible. However, after looking back on what I had filmed, I realised that I had made two critical errors. A lot of my shots did not follow the rule of thirds, and when the package was exchanged, I broke the 180 degree rule.
Another issue was that I had failed to check the weather in preportaion prior to filming. At 1pm, it was fairly hot and very sunny. As a result, this did not match the dull and dreary (typical British weather) atmosphere I wanted to create. Because of this, I will make sure that the next time I film, I will check the weather forecast beforehand, and shoot later in the evening.
However, I felt that overall, my first day of filming was successful as I managed to get a lot of footage, that had its strengths and weaknesses, both helping me for when I carry out my retakes. It also went well due to good teamwork. Both of my actors were helpful and cooperative, making the day run smoothly and successfully.
